In this course we address a variety of themes and get to know famous authors by reading original texts or abridged versions of their books at the B2 level. We are going to agree on what text to read in the first appointment. Participants are also encouraged to give a 10-minute presentation on a topic of their choice in the second part of the course. And we're always open to humour,&nbsp;fun and games.

This course is designed for advanced learners aiming to refine their command of the language and achieve greater accuracy, sophistication in speaking, and grammar fluency. Topics will include advanced verb tenses, conditionals, inversion, reported speech, relative clauses, and nuanced modal verb usage.&nbsp;

For intermediate students who would like to learn more about English-speaking cultures. We will read a handful of English, Irish, American and Commonwealth poems and stories -- some simplified, some not -- and use them as a basis for language games, vocabulary-building exercises and discussions. The two courses can be booked independently of each other.

Your English is at a stable B2 level? Then it is time to move on to C1! We will focus on authentic language from videos, clips and shows, and use activities to make you feel more confident with spontaneous conversations and improve your listening comprehension. In this class, we will discuss the concept of sister cities, or city ‘twinning.’ We will ‘virtually visit’ some of Munich’s sister cities, learn about their history and culture, and participate in small group discussions on related themes, including the theme of international cooperation and intercultural exchange.

Too often, we don’t find enough time for reading for pleasure. This course gives you the opportunity to rediscover the joy of reading in English while developing your language skills at the same time. We will explore selected crime stories and follow the clues, discuss the suspects and try to solve the cases together. Using the special focus on Life in Munich, this weekend course should act as a 'mini language trip', where you can explore topics related to life in this city through spoken English. A special addition will be a Saturday afternoon trip to an area of the city, where we`ll share the role of English tour guide between each member of the class. &nbsp; Immersing yourself in the language is a great way to activate your existing skills and push yourself to a higher level of confidence.
