CELTA is a teacher training course attended by people who would like to teach English as a foreign language. It is ideal for someone starting out in the profession but also suitable for those with some experience but no formal qualification.
The certificate is awarded by Cambridge Assessment English, part of the University of Cambridge.
We have had over twenty five years of success running CELTA courses at the Münchner Volkshochschule with many graduates still teaching for us now.
Munich is the ideal location to embark on your teaching career, our teaching practice classes include students from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities, providing you with a good springboard to your own teaching.
If you are travelling from further afield, why not add a couple of weeks to the end of your course to explore this wonderful region in central Europe, we are close to lakes and mountains and just a relaxed train ride away from Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Czech Republic. If you come in the summer months you can enjoy some of our famous beergarden culture or why not celebrate your graduation with a day at the Oktoberfest?
Is CELTA Recognised in Germany?
CELTA is the most widely recognised TEFL qualification in the world. If you want to teach English as a foreign language to adults, this is the certificate you need. Language schools and Volkshochschulen around Germany and the rest of the world are more likely to employ you if you have a relevant qualification in the field.
