How do you plan for life after work? What do you expect? How is it going? This course is for everyone interested in how to live the next chapter of their lives after work. We share our stories, and what we have learned. As an input we read about and discuss the experiences of retired folks who are busy with projects, traveling, or are still working and take a look at new retirement trends. A friendly and interesting get-together with language practice and teacher moderation and feedback.

This semester we will read J.B. Priestley's classic play " An Inspector Calls". By analysing and discussing the social issues and characters and in various activities  you will expand your vocabulary and practice conversation skills. Then we will watch the film adaptation giving you a chance to compare play and film.

This course explores the history and cultural significance of some of the most influential rock musicians and bands of the era, including Bob Dylan, The Beatles and David Bowie. We listen to their music and analyze their lyrics. Participants should be able to express abstract ideas in English.

Ground lentils and rice paste turned into delicious crispy dosas and vadas! South Indian vegetarian delicacies enchant your senses with chutneys, savoury fillings, mixed ground spice flavours, sauces and soups and a rich variety of rice. Have a chance to improve your English whilst cooking a delicious Indian meal! Bring a dish cloth and an apron and don´t forget your favourite drink to go with the food as well as a couple of plastic boxes in case you want to take extra food home.

Reading and sharing your thoughts about what you’ve read is simply a wonderful way to not only keep up your English, but to stay in touch with the world of images and ideas. Selected with an eye towards variety as well as public recognition, each book will be read and then discussed for two pleasant and inspiring evenings. Please try to read the whole book by the time we have our first session so you can freely share your thoughts and impressions.
