You start at B2 level and work through the entire coursebook in two parts, with guided support. Units 1–5: Topics include personality, lifestyles, survival, the future, the environment. Grammar topics: narrative tenses, future forms, passive voice, if conditionals, used to, would, get used to, be used to, collocations (deeply concerned, bitterly disappointed, highly likely) Units 6–10: Topics include coming of age, community, myths and legends, business, media. Grammar topics: obligation, prohibition and permission (need, require, allow, ought to) wish and if only, relative clauses, reported speech, mixed conditionals.

We will focus on the most challenging or confusing tenses, modal verbs and prepositions. You can also bring along any individual questions you may have. We will spend a lot of time on exercises - this is a workout after all - but there will also be room for general conversation.

In this fast-paced course and the following part 2 you will complete the coursebook and therefore the B2 level within a short period of time. This course takes place in the classroom (not online). You will use an online platform for additional practice and homework.

Improve your English and help us train new teachers at the same time. Every day you will be taught by different teachers who are training with us. They will learn under supervision how to teach English successfully while you, as participants, improve your grammar, expand your vocabulary, and practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The course fee is already reduced by half; if you attend 90 percent of the time, you can receive an additional 50 percent of the fee back. Perhaps you learned English at school but have not used it much since then. You don´t want to complete the whole of this level but would prefer to reactivate what you already know. In this course you will practise your spoken English and review grammatical structures including the tenses, sentence structure, prepositions and if-clauses. Join our language club for two weeks this summer. We will take the opportunity to discuss anything and everything English related. Come along with your own ideas for discussion, or texts to read. Use this opportunity to ask questions about the language and share your own knowledge of the language with like-minded people.
