Let’s go off the beaten track! Boost your vocabulary, improve fluency, and sound more natural in English! This course focuses on useful collocations – word combinations that commonly go together – and popular idioms that add flair to your speech. You'll learn idioms and collocations in context through a variety of excercises, making them easier to remember and use confidently.You’ll learn about common structures, literal versus figurative menaing and fixed idioms, and some fun facts about where they come from. Have you already completed a B1 level course, but feel you need more practice before moving on to B2? Do you wish to maintain and improve your B1 language skills without committing to a weekly course? If so, this weekend workshop is just right for you! We will review key grammar concepts, build vocabulary and improve fluency through engaging speaking tasks.

Do you feel the English you hear from your coursebook is not what you are confronted with in real life? Or sometimes you feel that others speak too fast? This course will use recordings of English as it is really spoken – by native as well as non-native speakers. You will get used to different accents and be able to adapt faster to speakers from around the world. We will read The Great Gatsby, as well as a selection of short stories. You will spend 60 minutes in an online class on Zoom each week, and in between, you will participate in online discussions and tasks with your teacher.
