The Munich Residence served as the home and seat of government for the Bavarian Dukes, Prince-Electors, and Kings from 1508 to 1918. Its rooms and art collections – including the Antiquarium, one of the most magnificent Renaissance halls north of the Alps, and the Rich Rooms, exquisite gems of the Rococo period – reflect the artistic sensibilities of the House of Wittelsbach.
Other highlights of the tour include the breathtaking "Rich Chapel" of Maximilian I and the beautifully restored Königsbau, which houses the royal apartments of Ludwig I.
