Möhlstraße - a Street with a Unique History

Locals and newcomers, officials and scientists, businessmen and heirs, including several Jewish families - these were the promoters and original owners of Möhlstraße, planned by and named after the court gardener Jakob Möhl. The houses were built in a pleasing mix of styles, by well-known architects of the Prinzregent period, e.g. Romeis, Seidl or Drollinger. After World War II the street gained a dubious reputation accommodating a notorious black market. Despite damage and controversial newer buildings from the 60s and 70s, there is still a lot to discover from the old spirit of former upper-class housing and living.
